Laugharne is situated just a few miles away from Old Oak Barn and is of course famous for its tranquil setting, historic Castle and because it is where Dylan Thomas penned much of “Under Milk Wood”  He is surely Wales’s greatest poet! Taking a stroll around the little village provides hours of interest for visitors who can pop into The Browns Hotel for a pint, go into the Castle grounds or walk “The Birthday Walk”.
