There is lots happening this Easter in West Wales and if you choose to stay at Puffin House in Broad Haven or at Old Oak Barn near St Clears you may want to have a read below for some of our favourite places to go! Some of our previous blogs have other ideas so please have a look for even more suggestions.

Child friendly holiday Easter 2014 West Wales

Folly Farm is a firm favourite and on a visit there last week we can see why it is so popular. We first went years ago in 1988 when it opened and our youngest was just 2 years old! Over the last 24 years it  has flourished to become one of the best child friendly days out in Wales. The exciting and varied attractions are enjoyed by 400,000 visitors each year, making it one of the very best places to visit in Wales.  From exotic creatures to vintage funfair rides and adventure playgrounds, Folly Farm has something for absolutely everyone to enjoy. Little ones will adore the big collection of ride on diggers and tractors. We loved the penguins! They are such fun to watch as you can get right up close!

A second choice would be to give the kids a surfing lesson and some of the best to be had are in Newgale or Broad Haven, Freshwater West or Manorbier. Although in April it will be cold!  Phone first for weather forecast and check out Outer Reef Surf School and  Newsurf for more details.

Thirdly we recommend from April 12-27th  the Free Easter family activities every day 12-4pm at Garden of wales  where you can join them for a Tree-mendous time including drawing trees with quills, tree herbalism, easy tree identification, willow weaving, making stick people and whistles, tree name plates and tree leaf challenge. The Gardens are very near Carmarthen and we think children of all ages will enjoy themselves a lot!
