Gwili Railway ChristmasOne of the most popular events near Old Oak Barn in December is  the Gwili Railway near Carmarthen  which offers exciting train rides for children and their families wishing to experience a little bit of something special before Christmas ……. known as Santa’s Train Rides.

You can ride the Steam Train to Santa’s Grotto at Llwyfan Cerrig Station where you will find a large heated marquee with an exciting program of entertainment; inclusive refreshments and a ‘Thomas the Tank Shop.’  While you are entertained by ‘Loopy Lewes’ and others, you will be taken to see Santa Claus which will be able to speak to you in Welsh or English!   Santa has a superb collection of quality gifts this Christmas!

Bouncy Snowman

After seeing Santa and enjoying a Mince Pie and  a Cuppa you can visit the Craft Stalls and let the children loose some energy on the Largest Snowman in the World! (Which houses a Bouncy Castle inside its belly).  This inflatable has never been to Wales before!
