Cowshed at Cowpots
This wonderful ice cream shop and bistro is only a few miles from Old Oak Barn near the small town of Whitland. The Cowshed at Cowpots opened in 2014 and operates under the watchful eye of Rachel Calvert who has built up a steady fan base of local and loyal supporters. We can see why! The ice cream which is all made on the farm using creamy milk from another Jersey herd in Carmarthenshire is delicious! Their light lunches are freshly made using local ingredients wherever possible. Here is Rachel serving us some tasty Tascas!
Cowshed at Cowpots is at Pen Back Farm, Ciffig, Whitland, SA34 0NG – only 5 – 10 minutes from St Clears itself.
Phone number is 01994 240 434
Our visitors who visit Pembrokeshire often drop by in the summer for tea including milkshakes and icecream from a huge range of flavours. Or pancakes with maple syrup and icecream! They serve a wicked Sunday Lunch but remember to book ahead as sometimes they do get very busy! Mothering Sunday Lunch for instance was booked a couple of weeks before Mothers Day itself. We made it last year but sadly were too slow to get organised this year! During the winter the log burning stove creates a warm and cosy atmosphere and you are always welcome to sit on one of the sofas and drink coffee if you can resist their excellent food. I can see why they get such great reviews on Trip Advisor
